Duties

• Educate in a blended classroom with students with a wide variety of disabilities in all academic areas as well as fulfilling case management duties. Duties include, but not limited to:
• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
• Prepare IEPs and maintain progress data in accordance with district, state and federal policies
• Evaluate student progress on a regular basis and communicate progress of IEP goals to appropriate IEP team members in accordance with district, state and federal policies
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct IEP records as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulations.

Qualifications

Illinois licensure with appropriate endorsements.

Salary/Benefits

Base salary is dependent upon experience and the salary schedule.  Other benefits include: 12 sick days, 3 personal days, 2 bereavement days, up to 2 professional leave days, $5400 toward health insurance, and reimburses $175 per credit hour for approved college coursework.

Additional Notes

Edinburg is a true gem in the education field.  The proximity itself is ideal in that the school is located just outside of Springfield/Rochester on one side and Taylorville on the other while being easily accessible to both Decatur and I55.  Our staff is comprised of both community residents and those that have a short commute in from these neighboring areas.  Our current 5th-8th enrollment is approximately 70 students which allows our teachers to truly get to know and understand our students.  The Edinburg parents and community are extremely supportive and forward thinking.
