Duties
The position will serve students whose behaviors inhibit success in the regular education classroom. The teacher will be responsible for instructing groups of students with mild to moderate disabilities. The teacher will modify and supplement the curriculum to meet students’ individual needs, develop lesson plans to support individual student growth, and write Individualized Education Plans (IEP) to address deficits in academic and functional performance. The teacher will monitor behavior patterns of students and provide interventions to support optimum learning through formal and informal planning. The teacher will work closely with colleagues and families to address the needs of students.
