Duties
Burnham Elementary School is seeking a self-contained 6th grade teacher to work effectively with a team of innovative, collaborative teachers who work hard to provide an extraordinary education to our students. The professional Educator will hold expectations for his/her class by implementing 6th grade common core standards in all content areas (ELA, Math, Social Studies, and Science), administering MAP testing, using data to drive curricular decisions, work in a collaborative team, implement innovative teaching and assessment strategies, and communicate with families.
Qualifications
Appropriate licensure for the state of Illinois, successful teaching or student teaching experience.
Salary/Benefits
Competitive, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The salary is in accordance with the teacher's salary schedule. The District offers excellent fringe benefits, including life, health, and dental insurance.
Additional Notes
The work year for this position is 180 days.
