Duties

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and dedicated Business Teacher to join our faculty at Midland High School. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching high school students foundational business concepts, encouraging critical thinking, and preparing students for success in the business world. The Business Teacher will be expected to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, develop comprehensive lesson plans, and actively participate in school events and professional development.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Education, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certifications is a plus.
• Certification: Valid state teaching certification in Business Education or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Experience: Prior teaching experience, preferably in a high school setting, is desirable. Industry experience in business, finance, marketing, or management is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of business principles and practices.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to foster a positive learning environment and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite/G-Suite, Google Classroom, online learning platforms).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
